Shem Creek is a local favorite just across the Ravenel Bridge in Mount Pleasant. It's known for its many waterfront bars and restaurants, along with a 2,200 ft long boardwalk running from Coleman Boulevard to the mouth of the creek. From the harbor end of the boardwalk, you can see all the way from Fort Sumter to Castle Pickney.
With its twin diamond peaks, the famous Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge spans the Cooper River and connects downtown Charleston to Mount Pleasant. The 2.5 mile long bridge offers a walking & biking path named Wonders' Way for pedestrians to admire Charleston's picturesque skyline and harbor at any time of day!
